'KINGS OF THE SOUTH SEAS' debut album OUT NOW.........
The album is inspired by the epic whaling expeditions of the early 19th Century from Britain to the South Pacific, these voyages, often four years long, were pushing the boundaries of the known World and the whalers returned with the tallest tales on the planet. It was recorded live in three days at Cecil Sharp House and produced by John Parish.
Kings of The South Seas are teaming up with array of their musical friends to record the ‘Free Folk’ series, which will see them gathering in a studio for a day with different artists and spontaneously creating music, no preconceived ideas are allowed and no boundary is sacred!
Free Folk Vol. 1 sees squeeze box virtuoso and BBC Folk Musician of the year, Andy Cutting joining Kings of The South Seas to produce some astounding sonic journeys beyond musical genre.
